Richard A. De Ruvo, 85, of Hudson, died on Sunday, June 26th at Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marlboro. He is survived by his wife of 61 plus years, Fay (Dumas) De Ruvo of Hudson.
Richard was born and raised in Marlboro, son of the late Angelo and Gladys (Temple) De Ruvo. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the 305th Bomb Group of the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was employed for many years by the Commonwealth Gas Company, now NSTAR until his retirement in 1984.Richard and his wife Fay have resided in Hudson since they bought their home shortly after they were married. Richard spent 56 years as a member and life member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks and has been a member of the Marlborough Country Club since 1948.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sister, Gladys Adams of Worcester and was predeceased by his brother, Nicholas De Ruvo of Hudson. He is also survived by his two nieces, Jane Carlson of Worcester, Joanne Fox of Stow and his two nephews, David Adams of Worcester and Steven Adams of Leominster.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in Forestvale Cemetery, located on Broad Street in Hudson. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
