Richard "Dick" Scafidi, 72, died December 23, 2004 at his daughter's home in Hudson. Born in Waltham son of the late Salvatore and Jenny (Camuti) Scafidi. Resided in Hudson for many years before moving to Naples Florida 12 years ago until recently returning home. Survived by his wife Rose R. (Collura) Scafidi of 52 years. Survived by his sons Richard and his wife Susan Scafidi of Naples, Fl, Michael and his wife Karen Scafidi of Hudson, his daughters Patricia and her husband Michael Chamberlain of Hudson, Nancy and her husband David Hauver of Leominster, Elaine and her husband Jeffrey Wood of Hudson. Survived by his sisters Demi Marmonti, Connie Ferro, Josephine Collura, Jeannette Scafidi all of Waltham and his brothers Carl, Alfred, Lenny, Tony and Bernie Scafidi all of Waltham. Brother of the late Salvatore Jr., James, Ernie, Robert and Raymond Scafidi. Survived by his grandchildren Lisa, Mike and Sara Chamberlain, Jeff and Jamie Wood, Bryan and Kevin Hauver, Richie, Alyssa, Jason, and Brett Scafidi, and Derek and Julia Scafidi. Also survived by his loving brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was a graduate of Waltham High School 1951 and Boston University 1958 with a Business degree. He was a member of the Lodge of Elks Waltham and Naples, Florida. Dick was a Redsox and Patriots fan for many years. He coached Stan Musial, babe Ruth and little league baseball. He was an avid Golfer. While in Florida he worked as a real estate agent with Bluebill Properties in Naples. His Funeral will be held Monday from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson with a funeral Mass at 11AM at St. Michael's Church 21 Manning St. Hudson. Calling hours are Sunday December 26 from 4-8PM. Burial in Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be sent to Hudson Recreation Department, Town Hall 78 Main St., Hudson, MA 01749
