Rita J. (Marcheterre) Saia, 88, of Hudson, died Friday, April 6th at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Lewis Saia who died in 1986 and mother of the late Robert Lacombe.
Rita was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Hector and Elizabeth (Domingus) Marcheterre. She was employed for many years as a housekeeper for the Learning Center of Marlboro. She was a member of Saint Luke's Parish in Hudson and member of the Hudson Senior Center.
She is survived by her two brothers, John Marcheterre of Danielson, CT, Paul Marcheterre of Clinton; two sisters, Dorothy Amberg of Scotland, CT, Pauline Ordway of Marlboro and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norman, Charles, Albert, Robert and Marilyn Marcheterre.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 10th at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Luke's Episcopal Church, 5 Washington Street, (Wood Square)Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Monday, April 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
