Robert R. Cyr, 83, of Ft. Pierce, FL, formerly of Hudson, passed away on October 8th in Florida surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of Phillippe L. Cyr and Olive (Buteau) Cyr. He and his loving wife Carolyn (Bassette) Cyr celebrated their 60th anniversary this past May.
Robert attended Hudson schools (Class of 1944) and McGill University, Ottawa, Canada. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944, was an Aviation Machinist and veteran of WWII
He worked at Lapointe's, General Motors and over 40 years for Harrington & Richardson Arms in Worcester, MA and as plant manager for their foundry in Swanton, VT
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Debbie Puleo of West Boylston; his son Robert Cyr of Hudson; his daughter Ellen Cyr of Port St. Lucie, FL; five Grandchildren and one Great Granddaughter. He is also survived by his sister Jeanne and her husband Richard Blackman of Hudson; his brother Rene Cyr and his wife Madelyn of Maynard and several nieces and nephews..
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 26th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial with military honors will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
