Robert H. Goldman, 84, of Northborough, and resident of Hudson for over 50 years, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility. He leaves the love of his life and wife of over 60 years, Lorraine (Alix) Goldman.
Bob was born of the late Joseph and Edith (Tannebaum) Goldman in Cambridge, MA. He was raised in Cambridge attending local schools and spent summers at his family's home and store at Lake Boone in Hudson. He served in the Navy in both the Pacific and Mediterranean during the Korean War. Besides over 30 years with IBM he was well-known for his love of tools and fixing homes and cars, even working as a pitcrew member for several local stockcar racers.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Cheryl White of Clinton, Deborah Quinn and her husband Ray of Auburn and Mark Goldman of Hudson, two grandchildren, Sean Quinn and Shannon Emilyta both of Oxford, and one greatgrandson, Jakob Emilyta of Oxford, a sister-in-law Theresa Perry (Terry Alix) and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Samuel, David (Henry) and Nester (Nishi) and Etta (Sis) Blanks.
Family and friends may attend a calling hour at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA on Sunday, Feb. 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service and celebration of Robert's life at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
