Robert T. Goudreau, 78, of Hudson, died Saturday, Aug. 7th at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gail C. (Stickney) Goudreau of Hudson.
Born in Webster, son of the late Theophile and Anelia (Podbilsk) Goudreau, Robert was a graduate of the New England School of Art and was employed as a Course Developer for 34 years by New England Telephone & Telegraph Co. until retiring in 1989. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1951 to 1955 in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Electronic Warfare Technician and was presently a member of the Submarine Base Association in Groton, Conn. He was a member of the United Brethren Lodge in Marlboro, Hudson Rod & Gun Club of Hudson, New England Fly Tiers and Assabet Valley Singers of Northboro. He was also a member of the Church of the Nativity in Northboro.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Brian D. Goudreau and his wife Betsy of Ankorage, Alaska, Amy B. Halloran and her husband William of Sunderland, Mass. and Emily L. MacDonald and her husband Richard of Berlin, New Hampshire. He is also survived by his sister, Constance Boudreau of The Villages, Florida and his 8 grandchildren, Sarah, Caitlin, William III, Alyssa, Jeffrey, Erin, Mitchell and Maxwell.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity, 45 Howard Street, Northboro, MA 01532. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Aug. 13th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nativity in Northboro.
