Robert B. Kilroy Jr., 42, of Hudson, died on Thursday, July 7th at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton after a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He is survived by his parents, Robert B. Kilroy Sr. and Joan M. (Caruso) Kilroy of South Yarmouth, formerly of Hudson and Bolton. He is also survived by his sister, Joy Sullivan of Berlin and her two children, Samantha and Zachary Sullivan along with many cousins and friends.
Robert was born in Malden and spent most of his life residing in Hudson and Bolton. He attended Saint Michael's School and Hudson Catholic High School in Hudson and was a 1987 graduate of Nashoba Regional High School. Robert was employed as a machine operator for several companies in the Hudson area. He enjoyed the outdoors including fishing and other activities, he collected and cared for many tropical fish as a hobby and was an avid sports fan.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 11th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. A private burial service will be held in Woodside Cemetery, Yarmouthport. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
