Robert W. Montreuil Jr., 59, of Hudson, MA, died on Saturday, September 25, 2021 after a long period of declining health at Marlborough Hospital.
Robert was born in Worcester, MA, son of the late Robert W. Sr. and Beverly A. (Dufault) Montreuil. He was raised in Marlborough, MA where he attended local schools and was a 1979 graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Technical H.S. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served during the Gulf War until being honorably discharged as a disabled Veteran. He has resided in Hudson since the early 80's and was an active member locally of the International Evangelical Ministry Revival.
Robert leaves his loving wife of 23 years, Adimeire (Cardozo) Montreuil of Hudson, MA; his son, Corey Montreuil and his wife Roxanne of Colorado; his daughter, Emelda Montreuil of Hudson, MA; his two grandchildren, Adimeire and George Robert Enriquez-Montreuil along with his two aunts, Linda Aponte of Marlborough, MA and Rosemarie Bissonette of Lancaster, MA. He was predeceased by his sister Pamela Montreuil.
Robert was truly an inspiration to all who knew him. Evan with his rapidly declining health he still sought to help others in need. He dedicated himself to his family and their needs and always put them first. In his spare time Robert enjoyed sitting back watching television, game shows being a favorite. He was an avid New England sports fan loyal to all local teams. His life was short but his contributions vast, he will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Tighe-Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. A service and celebration of Robert’s life will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral Home. Burial will follow with Military Honors in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Cox Street, Hudson, MA.
