Robert Eric Russell

Robert Eric Russell, age 77, died January 30th in Tiverton Rhode Island. He was a former resident of Stow, MA where he lived for 47 years with his late wife Carol. He was the son of Robert W. Russell and Christine Torjesen Russell of Cromwell, CT.

He is survived by siblings Gordon Russell of ME, Virginia R. Kenny of RI and Dan Russell of CT as well as nieces and nephews Andrea, Melissa, Cassandra, Bronwyn, Carl, Patrick and Daniel. He also leaves behind brother-in-law Charles Adam of RI and his wife Barbara. He was predeceased by a sister, Susan Russell. 

Eric was an electrical engineer who graduated from Northeastern University. He worked for MITRE and as a system engineer for GTE.

Eric enjoyed playing tennis, running, collecting maps and vintage telephones. He volunteered as a guide at the historic colonial windmill in Brewster, MA on Cape Cod. 

Calling hours for Robert will be held on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 from 10:00am - 11:00am at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 at 11:00am at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home. Burial will follow at  Brookside Cemetery, 36 Gleasondale Rd, Stow, MA.
