Robert R. Sweet passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and daughters on Friday, April 3rd,  2020 after a period of declining health.

Bob was born on May 3rd 1933 in Worcester, Mass.  Where he grew up and lived until he moved to Hudson, Mass and lived in the town and in the same house for 52 years.

Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He attended Fitchburg State College, and received his Bachelors and Masters degree in teaching.  He was a school teacher at Algonquin Regional High School in Northboro, Mass for 37 years.  He taught Industrial Arts in addition to being a Math and Science teacher for several years.  He also taught Drivers Education at Algonquin and Hudson Catholic High School. He owned his own Drivers Ed Business which was called “Sweets Auto School”.

He later worked at Home Depot in Framingham, Mass.  Bob loved interacting with people he was a people person.  Especially having a lot of patience.

Bob loved his family and grandchildren very much.  Spending Quality time with his family was very important to him.  He also enjoyed going a few times a week to the Senior Center in Hudson.  His love of the game of cribbage with his friends gave him such, joy, laughs, and he definitely was a hard one to beat.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Ellen Mary (Atchue) Sweet. His loving brother Charles R. Sweet.  His 4 loving children, daughter Linda M. Camilleri and her husband Mark Camilleri, son David F. Sweet and his pre-deceased wife Susan Sweet, daughter Darlene E. Sweet-Marzullo and her husband Philip Marzullo, daughter Carrie Johnson and her her husband Bruce Johnson.

His 8 Beautiful Grandchildren, Brandon Donahue, Krystina Sweet, Alexander Sweet, Erica Young, Christopher Young Jr., and his wife Destiny Young, Justin Young, Ciara Johnson,  Chloe Johnson and

his 2 adorable great grandchildren Chase Young, and Atlas Young.

He was an amazing Man.  He always would make you smile.  You will be Greatly missed our dearest Bob.

Due to the Covid 19 virus a Memorial Mass will be held at a later time.  Memorial Service for immediate family will be held at New Notre Dame cemetery in Southbridge, Mass.
