Ronald E. Blair, 69, of Marlboro, died Tuesday, November 9th at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra J. (Ladouceur) Blair of Marlboro.
Ronald was born in Marlborough, son of the late Ralph and Doris (Gallagher) Blair. He was raised in Hudson where he attended local schools and has resided in Marlboro since 1965. He was employed by Stop & Shop Supermarkets at their warehouse locations in Marlboro and later in Readville for 30 years until retiring in 2002. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union, Local 25. Ronald enjoyed traveling with family and friends and especially enjoyed the several cruises he took. He was a devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan and was an avid golfer.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Denise Melo and her husband David of Hudson; his two grandsons, Steven and Matthew Melo of Hudson; three brothers, Robert Blair of Fitchburg, Kenneth Blair of Hudson, Dennis Blair of Marlboro and his sister Beverly Wales of Clinton. He also leaves his many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 12th at 9:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlboro. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
