Ronald G. Duponte-68, of Hudson, MA, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Ann F. (Burney) Duponte of Hudson.

Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late Jack and Rose L. (Sousa) Duponte.

He was a graduate of Somerville H.S., class of 1956 and served in the U.S. Army.
He worked for the former Arrow Automotive in Hudson and worked as a machine operator for Hewlett Packard Co. in Andover until he retired in 2000. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union, he helped manage the former Saint Michael's CYO Band, and was actively involved in the local Cub Scouts as a Cub Scout Leader.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children; Michael Duponte and his wife Stephanie of Bellingham, MA, David Duponte and his wife Miriam of Lexington, MA, Joanne Duponte of Hudson, MA, and Lynne Drzik and her husband Patrick of West Boylston.
He is also survived by his grandchildren; Carrie and Joey Drzik, Dannie Ingram, Lacy and Ana Trudeau, Jacob Augustinho,and Austin, Calli and Mirissa Duponte along with many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother in law to; George and Mary Burney of Hudson and Gerald Gaglione of Los Angelas, CA. He was the father of the late Kathryn Duponte and brother to the late; Alda Mancini, Delores Gaglione and John Duponte.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, December 1, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning street Hudson, MA. Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 30, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
