Ronald J. Rogers, 59, of Hudson, MA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, October 2, 2020. He is survived by his beloved companion, Helena G. Bettencourt.
He is also survived by his two sons, Thomas J. Rogers of Gray, ME and Johnathan M. Rogers of Scarborough, ME; his parents, Ronald Rogers, Sr and Patricia M. (James) Rogers of Hudson; two stepchildren, Adrian B. Andrade and Tanya B. Andrade both of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Christine M. Rogers of Cape Coral, FL; two brothers, Richard J. Rogers and his wife Theresa of Hudson, MA and William F. Rogers of Lakeland, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Ronald was born in Waltham, MA, on September 17, 1961 and later settled in Hudson, MA with his family, where he attended school and graduated from Assabet Valley Regional Technical School. He learned the trade of Appliance Repair, becoming a well-known Appliance Repair Man. He later enrolled in Teaching Courses and became an Appliance Repair Shop Teacher, now known as HVAC and Refrigeration and was loved by many students.
Ronald was an avid muscle car and mopar enthusiast. He owned several classic muscle cars throughout the years and enjoyed spending time working on them. He was also a great history buff and especially loved learning about World War II and visiting the American Heritage Museum in Hudson. Ronald found peace in the outdoors and more than anything, loved to watch a beautiful sunset.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 5pm until 8pm on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA. To honor Ronalds love of Sunsets, interment will be held later on that day at 5 pm in Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson.
Due to Covid restrictions attendance is limited to 85 people in Saint Michael Church for the Funeral Mass. For those who would like to observe but can not attend in person the Mass can be viewed live at https://www.stmikes.org/watch-mass-live.
