Rose M. (Neroni) Eddy, 87, a life long resident of Hudson, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Rose was born on Franklin Street in Hudson where she spent her entire life. She was the daughter of the late Francesco and Annuziata (Giordani) Neroni. She married her sweetheart Calvin "Cal" Eddy in 1946 following WWII. They spent 59 joyful years, raising their family and spending many precious times with family friends until Cal's death in 2006. Rose attended Saint Michael's Grammar School and was a 1942 graduate of Hudson High School. She was voted "prettiest girl" by her peers at Hudson High School. Besides being a loving and devoted wife and mother, Rose was employed as a secretary for many years in Hudson with Harriman and Reardon Insurance Agency of Hudson. She was a member of the former Christ the King Parish in Hudson and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
She is survived by her children, Robert Eddy, Nancy E. Eddy and her husband Joseph McNealy and William Eddy and his wife Lona Lamson, all of Hudson. She is also survived by her two loving grandchildren, Max and Zoe McNealy of Hudson and her several nieces and nephews with whom she enjoyed their close relationship throughout the years. She was the sister of the late Nerio Neroni.
A service and celebration of Rose's life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 23rd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
