Ruth L. (Garcia) Blood, 89, of Hudson, died Saturday, March 6th at Sudbury Pines Extended Care in Sudbury. She was the wife of the late George "Jeep" Blood who died in Jan. of 1991.
Ruth was born in Hudson, daughter of the late Jesse and Evelyn (Morin) Garcia. She was a Nurse's Aide for many years at Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Marlboro and was a member of the Auxiliary at the V.F.W. of Hudson.
She is survived by her children, John Blood, Chief of the Hudson Fire Dept., Ronald Blood and Barbara Sawyer, all of Hudson and Mary Jane Riccardi of Chula Vista, Calif.; her sister Alice Schneider of Sudbury; her brother, Joseph Garcia of Hudson and was predeceased by her daughter Jane Blood. She is also survived by her 13 Grandchildren; 25 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 27th at 12:00 noon at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, March 27th from 11:00 to 12:00 noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
