Sally Ann (Murphy) Soter McCarthy

Sally Ann (Murphy) Soter McCarthy, 83, of Gardner, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Heywood Hospital in Gardner.

Sally was born in Concord, MA, on February 19, 1936, the only child of the late Ernest And Ethel (Hellewell) Murphy. She was raised in Maynard, where she graduated from high school. She eventually settled in Hudson, Ma with her late first husband, Theodore J. Soter; together raising 4 children, before he passed at an early age. Sally later relocated to Florida and Maine, before coming back to Massachusetts and settling in Gardner.

Sally is survived by her 4 children, Theodore J. Soter, Jr. and his wife Tracey of Clinton, Christopher E. Soter and his wife Kimberly of Las Vegas, NV, Todd D. Soter and his wife Tracy of Danvers, MA and Kimberly A. Biggs and her husband Jim of Duxbury, MA; her beloved companion, David Chase; 4 grandchildren, Zachary Soter, David Soter, Nathan Soter and Lauren Biggs and one great-grandchild, Deven Soter. She was also predeceased by her second husband, William McCarthy.

Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with her arraignments.
