Samuel Chandrasekaran passed away at UMass Memorial Hospital at Marlborough, MA on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 7 pm at the age of 91 years.
Samuel was born on June 4, 1930 to the late Luke Devasir and Chellemma. He was a Superintendent Engineer at the Water and Sewer Department of the State of Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his higher education at Madras Christian College and graduated with a B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy, Tamil Nādu. After retirement, he immigrated to the United States with his caring and loving wife, Freda Chandrasekaran and settled in Hudson, MA in 1993. He participated actively in an Episcopal Church at Hudson, MA as a member of the congregation of the church. Soon after settling in the states he worked at TJ Maxx and at Kolas Photo company for a few years. He will always be remembered for light-hearte sense of humor. He was an avid photographer and a Cinephile. He loved baking, music and reading. He was an easy-going and soft-spoken person. More importantly, he loved his family and friends very much. Samuel enjoyed a good and happy life, and we thank our God and Savior Jesus Christ for His goodness and tender care.
He is survived by his wonderful wife, a son and two daughters, three grandsons, three granddaughters, a great-grand-son, and a great-grand-daughter.
Visitations will be held from 9:00am - 10:00am on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home at 50 Central Street Hudson, MA followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00am.
