Shirley Irene (Williams) Conrad, 78, longtime resident of Hudson died on Thursday, Dec. 5th at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to Herbert "Skip" R. Conrad
Shirley was born in Gloucester, Ma. On December, 9, 1934, daughter of the late Ivan and Lucibelle (Smith) Williams of Gloucester, Ma. She attended Gloucester High School and married Herbert on August 14, 1954 in Gloucester, Ma. She worked for Educational Solutions, a local family owned business as an organizational administrator. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters making beautiful holiday wall & table centerpieces and playing bingo.
She is survived by her two son's Mark E. Conrad of Little Elm, TX & Michael R. Conrad of Hudson and his wife Debra "Pepper" and two daughters Pamela J. Conrad and Judith A. Panzera and her husband Michael of Hudson. She also survived by her eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren. She also survived by her living brother Alvin R. Williams and his wife Fannie. As well as her three deceased brothers Murray "Bud" L. Williams and late wife Miriam, Ivan R. Williams and late wife Cathy, and Leslie E. Williams and living wife Judy. She was also survived by her three sisters Dot M. Silva and late husband Charlie, Ruthy E. Hickey and late husband Peter, Marilyn L. Brennan and husband Donald.
A funeral service and celebration of Shirley's life will be held on Monday, Dec. 9th at 9:00 a.m. in the First Federated Church, 200 Central Street, Hudson. Burial services will be held privately in Dolliver's Cemetery, Gloucester. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Sunday, Dec. 8th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
