Hudson, MA
Shirley "Paddy" McLaughlin, long time resident of Hudson, died on Tuesday, Feb. 2nd at Marlboro Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Douglas S. McLaughlin who died in 2002.
Paddy was born and raised in San Jose, Calif., daughter of the late Terrence E. and Grace (Sanford) Dunlavey and attended local schools. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant by the Raytheon Co. in Marlboro and Sudbury for 30 plus years until her retirement. She was a member of the First Federated Church in Hudson and past President and member of the Hudson Emblem Club. Paddy enjoyed reading in her spare time and will be missed by all who knew her, especially her pet dog "Pommi".
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Peterson of Hudson; her grandchildren, Katelyn and Benjamin Peterson; her sister, Bonnie Burnett of Oregon and her nieces and nephews, Mike Huston of Oregon, Lani Pierce of Montana, Tim Waller of Montana, Mark Huston of Florida and Bonnie Burnett-Smith of Oregon. She was the sister of the late, Geraldine Waller, Genevieve Huston and Jimmy, Jack and Richard Dunlavey.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the First Federated Church, 200 Central Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Feb. 5th, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
