Sophie M. (Smatanko) Garcia, 93, of Hudson, MA, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006 at Marlborough Hills Nursing Home in Marlborough.
She was the wife of 64 years to the late Raymond Garcia who died in 1994.
She was born in Lawrence, MA, daughter of the late, Frank and Stephanie (Terechko) Smatanko.
She was employed by the former Thomas Taylor & Sons Co. as a weaver.
She is survived by her three sons; Raymond and William Garcia, both of Hudson and Frank Garcia and his wife Cecile of West Yarmouth; a daughter, Helen Lanney and her husband Kenneth of Lancaster. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com.) 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery.
