Spencer A. Edison, 61, of Hudson Ma, passed away unexpectedly on 12/29/23, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Spencer grew up in East Boston, MA. He played varsity football for East Boston High, where he made lifelong friends. He spent many years living in Marlborough and Framingham where he had raised his son Michael Edison with his former wife Judy. Eventually settling in Hudson to raise granddaughter Julianna, with his wife Karen.
In his earlier years Spence worked as a truck driver, he then obtained his degree in electrical
engineering and eventually retired from sales after working with ABB and First line associates
for about 10 years. He enjoyed traveling for work as well as his long car rides spent with his only
grandchild Julianna. Spencer will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Spencer was predeceased by his parents Thomas Edison and Florence Greenwood-Edison as well as five of his seven siblings who also passed too soon, Stanley, Sandra, Susan, Scott and Sterry.
He is survived by his wife Karen Sullivan-Edison, son Michael, sister Sharon, brother Stu, stepchildren James, Nick and Emily and his beloved granddaughter Julianna.
Spencer requested a celebration of life be held in his honor. We request all of Spencer’s loved ones to join us in celebrating his beautiful life at 11am on Thursday January 11, 2023, at Grace Church, 353 River Road, Hudson, MA 01749; followed by a gathering in Spencer's honor at the Bolton Street Tavern, 587 Bolton Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
Flowers may be sent directly to Grace Church on the day of the service, or directly to the family.
