Stanley J. Staniunas, 79, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died October 8, 2007 at U-Mass Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Patricia (Chaplick) Staniunas of Hudson, MA.
He was born in Hudson, MA, son of the late Charles and Petronia (Poulauskas) Staniunas. He attended the Marianapolis Prep. School graduating in 1947 and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was an employee of the W.R. Grace Co. in Acton, MA as a quality control supervisor for 30 years until he retired. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish, and Saint Michael's Choir in Hudson. He was also active with the Hudson Senior Citizens Center, a volunteer with the Meals on Wheels program in Hudson and a member of the V.F.W. in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Jane Marrama and her husband William Marrama of Hudson, MA and Christine Fellrath and her husband Richard Fellrath M.D. of Tampa, FL. He is also survived by his 2 brothers, Joseph Staniunas of Texas, John Staniunas of Wellesley, MA and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Charles Staniunas who died in 1992.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 12, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church, 21 Manning Street Hudson, MA. Burial with military honors will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
