Stanley A. Tatarunas, 87, a life long resident of Hudson, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Jan. 25th. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Barbara L. (Christensen) Tatarunas of Hudson.
Stanley was born and raised in Hudson, son of the late Stanley and Mary (Balchus) Tatarunas. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School, class of 1941. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army from 1943 until being honorably discharged in 1946. Stanley worked for many years as a machinist for LaPointe's Machine and Tool Co. in Hudson and later was employed by Carter Manufacturing Co. of Bolton as a purchasing agent until his retirement. Stanley and his wife Barbara always looked forward to their daily walks together.
Besides his wife Barbara, Stanley is survived by several nieces, nephews and several cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Anna Tatarunas in 2009.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Thursday, Jan. 27th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
