Stasia M. (Grala) Unis, 96, of Hudson, died on Saturday, Feb. 7th at Bolton Manor Nursing Home in Marlboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Alphonse Unis who died in 1998.
Mrs. Unis was born in Clinton, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kolvalcyck) Grala and was a machine operator and assembler for the former Thomas Taylor Co. in Hudson for many years until her retirement. She was a former member of the Hudson Eagle's Auxiliary and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
She is survived by her three children, Edward Unis of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Joan Loureiro and her husband Anthony of Hudson and Barbara Unis of Hemet, CA. She also leaves 8 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Stanley and Theofil Grala, Anna Veo, Mary Mayes, Helen Greska and Katie Grala.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 11th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
