Stephen T. O'Neill, 66, of Bolton, formerly of Palatine, Illinois, died peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, Oct. 24th at the home of his daughter in Bolton.
Stephen was born in St. Louis, Missouri, son of Gregory O'Neill of Ft. Myers, Florida and the late Marjorie (Ouhrabka) O'Neill. He resided in Palatine most of his life until moving to Bolton recently to be close to his daughter. He was a project manager for Allstate Insurance Co. for 15 plus years in Northbrook, Illinois until 2001. Mr. O'Neill was a member of several vintage car clubs and owned several Antique cars. His other hobbies included boating, operating his remote control airplanes and boats and was an avid reader. He enjoyed tinkering with many types of small motors, enjoyed playing golf and spending time outdoors. His family will remember him for his free and driven spirit and the love he shared with them.
Besides his father, he is survived by his daughter, Diane Stone and her husband Jason of Bolton; his two grandchildren, Chloe and Mia Stone of Bolton; his brother, Gregory O'Neill Jr. of Florida; his two sisters, Susan O'Neill of Missouri and Kathy Smid of Kansas and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 28th at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Francis Xaviar Church, 808 Main Street (RT. 117), Bolton. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Bolton. There are no calling hours. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
