Stephen A. Walker

Stephen Alden Walker, 78, of Hudson, MA, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, October 20, 2022, after a period of declining health. He leaves his beloved wife of 45 years, Melony Ann (King) Walker.

Stephen was born in Waltham, MA, on February 10, 1944, one of 2 sons of the late Oscar Rhodes and Carrie Eleanor (Hamilton) Walker. He was raised in Waltham, MA, where he graduated from Waltham High School. He subsequently enlisted in the United States Navy, honorably serving his Nation in the Vietnam War from July 14, 1966 until April 16, 1970.  After returning home from duty he attended Boston University and shortly after married the love of his life, Melony Ann (King) Walker. Together they settled at their current residence in Hudson, MA in 1977. Stephen was a longtime volunteer at the Hudson Recycling Center. He was an avid record collector and he had an extensive Elvis Presley Collection. Stephen was also a fierce Classic Chevorlet Enthusiast.

Stephen is survived by his beloved wife Melony Ann (King) Walker; his daughters, Amanda L. Walker of Webster and Lura E. Walker of Hudson, his granddaughter, Elizabeth C. Richardson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Walker.

Services will be held at a later date. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
