Teresa M. (McPhee) Montecalvo, 95, a long time resident of Hudson, passed away on Sept. 20th at Brigham Manor Nursing Home in Newburyport surrounded by her loving family. Teresa was born on May 31, 1916 in Nova Scotia to Catherine (MacNeil) and Neil McPhee. She was predeceased by her husband Guy Montecalvo in 2002.
Teresa is survived by four daughters, Gail M. Lambert and her husband Donald of Ogunquit, ME, Jane F. Montecalvo of Rockport, MA, Nancy E. McCarthy and her husband Jay of Newburyport, MA, Christine H. Ayotte and her husband James of Tallahassee, FL and her son, Gary M. Montecalvo and his wife Deb of Attleboro, MA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Teresa attended local schools and was a graduate of Littleton High School. She married Guy in Littleton, at St. Ann's Church in 1939. They moved to Hudson shortly after that and lived in there for the majority of their lives. She most recently has been a resident at Brigham Manor Nursing Home in Newburyport for the past four years.
Teresa was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson. She loved Politics, baseball and basketball, which she played in High School and was always proud of the long jump record she held there. She worked at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury during the 1960's and later a finance company in Marlboro during the 1970's.
She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her family.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 23rd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749
