Teresinha P. Rodrigues

Teresinha P. Rodrigues, 78, of Marlborough, MA and former longtime resident of Hudson, MA, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Marlborough Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel L. Barbosa who died in 1991.

Teresinha was born and raised in Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Joao Rodrigues and Maria Pereira. She emigrated to the United States along with her husband Manuel and children in 1984. They settled in Hudson, MA.  In 2002 she moved to Marlborough, MA to live with her daughter.   She was employed by the Hudson Lock Company before retiring. She was a member of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson, MA.

Teresinha leaves her son Joao Barbosa and his wife Ana of Hudson, MA; her 2 daughters Manuela Braga of Marlborough, MA, Patricia Barbosa of Marlborough, MA along with her 4 grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Barbosa of Hudson, MA, Tony and Jonathan Braga of Marlborough, MA.  She is also survived by her sister Almerinda P. Rodrigues of Sao Miguel, Azores and her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Manuel  P. Rodrigues and her  3 sisters, Maria P. de Sousa,  Elisa P. Rodrigues, and Irene P. de Sousa.

Teresinha enjoyed sewing and cross stitching, gifting her crafts to her family and friends to cherish throughout the years. She loved to cook and bake, especially during the holidays when the family gathered to feast on her wonderful dishes and baked treats.

She cherished her family and she will always be loved and remembered by them.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 8:00 to 9:30 am on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A procession to Saint Michael Parish Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA will follow to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am; followed by a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery in Hudson, MA for Committal Services.
