MERRIMACK- Theodore "Ted" Richard Liberty Jr., 63, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.

Ted was born the beloved son of Barbara (Sutton) Liberty of Hudson, MA and the late Theodore Liberty Sr.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force until he was honorably discharged in 1986.

For many years, Ted was employed as a field service technician for Baxter Healthcare and more recently DEKA, as well as proudly owning and operating Liberty Lazer.

He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, companion and extraordinary family man who will be missed dearly. In his free time, he enjoyed daily weightlifting and working out, traveling to warm weather destinations and using his immense talent in creating woodworking crafts in his workshop. Ted was also an avid game player who enjoyed playing cards with his family on vacation at Hampton Beach, taking his mother to Bingo every Thursday and especially playing Cribbage with his grandson. Ted and his friends would always look forward to his annual Filet Fest. He participated in many hobbies over the years including being a member of the Dukes of Marlboro Drum and Bugle Corps, scuba diving and snorkeling, playing the trumpet, listening to classic rock and being one of Amazon’s number one customers.  Above all, his family was the most important aspect of his life.

In addition to his mother, Barbara, Ted is survived by his daughter Natalie Stopyra and her husband Peter of Merrimack; his grandson, Pheonyx Stopyra; his significant other, Kathy O'Hayre of Milford, MA as well as her two children, Shannon and Cullen both of Milford, MA. He is also survived by his three sisters, Jean Hanks and her husband Brian of Hopkinton, MA, Linda Liberty and her significant other Paul Johnson of North Attleboro, MA and Cheryl Blaisdell and her husband Jay of Pascoag, RI, as well as his nieces and nephews: Angela, Bryan, P.J., Matthew, Lily, Grayson, Sophie and Riley. Ted will also be deeply missed by his two dogs, Bruno and Chance.
