Thomas F. Carney-89, of Hudson, MA, formally of Framingham, MA, died Friday, January 26, 2007, at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center, in Marlborough, MA.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia M. (Donovan) Carney of Hudson.

Born in Framingham, MA, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Mary J. (Hoban) Carney.

He was a graduate of Framingham High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific theater. He was a former employee of the Framingham Housing Authority for some 20 years before his retirement. He was a life member of the Framingham Lodge of Elks and a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
He was an original member of the Framingham Heart Study in Framingham, MA.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Jane Fitz Patrick and her husband Thomas of Northborough, MA, Patricia Moore and her husband John of Framingham, MA and Mary Healey and her husband Joseph of Oveida, FL. He is also survived by his sisters, Anne Carney, Margaret Berte, Evelyn Miskinis, all of Framingham, MA, his grandchildren, Kevin and Brian Moore, Michael and Kate Fitz Patrick, Ryan and Erin Healey, great grandchildren, Celina Moore and Bayla Huff and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late John Carney and Elizabeth Kwedor.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning street Hudson, MA. Calling hours will be held Monday, January 29, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Internment will be in Bourne National Cemetery at a later date.
