Thomas J. FitzPatrick, 93, died Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to the late Louise (Connor) FitzPatrick. He leaves his sons, Thomas FitzPatrick and his wife Jane of Northborough; Robert FitzPatrick and his wife Christine of Northborough; John FitzPatrick and his wife Virginia of Morris Plains, NJ; David FitzPatrick and his wife Corinne of Redmond, WA; and Daniel FitzPatrick and his wife Brenda of Winter Garden, FL; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many close friends.

Mr. FitzPatrick was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, the son of John and Catherine (McGuinness) FitzPatrick both who immigrated from County Kildare in Ireland, he was preceded in death by seven sisters and five brothers, and leaves a multitude of nieces, nephews, and extended family. He moved to Hudson, MA, from the Philadelphia, PA area in 1963 and relocated to Florida where they lived until Mrs. FitzPatrick passed away in 2000. In 2001, he moved back to Hudson where he resided until his death.

Mr. FitzPatrick attended Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia and served in the United States Navy as a Radioman during WWII. When he returned home he attended Temple University and became an Industrial Engineer working for American Meter Company, RCA, Raytheon, and Lockheed Martin, where he retired in 1986. Mr. FitzPatrick was a Lifetime Member of the Hudson Elks.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday July 26th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 W. Main Street, Northborough. Burial will be private at Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday July 26th from 8:00-9:30 a.m. at Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. In lieu of flowers please send donations to The American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
