Thomas A. O’Brien III, 48, of Worcester Ma, former longtime resident of Hudson Ma,
passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday August 3, 2021.
He was predeceased by his father Thomas A. O’Brien Jr. and is survived by his mother
Barbara (Cone)O’Brien of Hudson; sister Tracey (O’Brien ) Atkinson and former husband
Charles of Clinton Ma.; brother David O’Brien and fiancee Melissa Fosdick of Clinton Ma.;
Courtney, Corey, and Colbey Atkinson, his niece and nephews; his great nephew Charles
Vincent; his maternal grandmother Irma Cone of Clinton, MA along with his uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends he loved very much.
Thomas was a graduate of Hudson High school, Class of 1991 and is a Hudson High sports hall
of fame inductee. He was a legendary Hudson High hockey player. His hobbies were lifting
weights, spending time with his pets, and being with his life long friends.
Tom was a dedicated worker at BNY Mellon for 24 years.
Family and friends may attend visiting hours at the Tighe-Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson, MA.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Hudson Elks from 1-5 on Tuesday to
help celebrate Tom’s life.
In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the Humane Society Animal Shelter of
Sterling Ma. www.sterlingshelter.org.
