Thomas H. Walsh

Thomas H. "Tuck” Walsh, 94, a resident of Hudson, MA for over 80 years, passed on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Estelle (Pikula) Walsh.

Tuck was born in Watertown, MA, on December 4, 1929, to his late parents Thomas A. Walsh and Mary (Howarth). Tuck is survived by his children Kathleen Walsh, Christine Walsh-Kelly (Kevin Kelly), Maureen Harris, Kate Walsh, Erin Walsh-Libby (Marty Libby), Ann Walsh and Tom Walsh; grandchildren Brian (Elizabeth) Kelly, Christopher (Lara) Kelly, Nathan (Jen) Harris, Briana (Kyle) Baker, Ben (Kim) Libby, and Nick Libby (Fiancée Kelly Higgins); great grandchildren Thomas, Samuel, William and Nicholas Kelly; Caroline, Spencer, Addison and James Kelly; Max, Ellie and Maggie Harris; Avery and Wes Baker; and Norah and Leo Libby.

Tuck is predeceased by his wife of 60 years Estelle (Pikula) Walsh; his parents Thomas A. Walsh and Mary (Howarth) Walsh; and his granddaughter Michaella Libby.

For 46 years, Tuck owned and operated Tuck's Trucks and Tuck's Service Center in Hudson, MA. For many years he served as a Hudson volunteer firefighter. Outside of work, he was an avid swimmer and walker, volunteered at the Saint Vincent de Paul Society and loved to socialize with his family and the many friends he made throughout the years. With his wife Estelle, Tuck also loved hosting their family at their home in Eastham on Cape Cod. He also took great pride in being a part of his childrens’, grandkids' and great-grandkids' lives.

Tuck was an extremely social and generous person. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A special thanks to the care providers on Granger 1 at UMass Marlboro and 3 West at UMass Worcester. Both care teams provided him with amazing care and showed incredible compassion during the last month of his life. 

Calling Hours for Tuck will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 4pm-7pm, at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 10am, at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA; followed by a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery, 278 Cox Street, Hudson, MA, for Committal Services.
