Veronica P. (Simas) Dzigas, 92, of Marlboro, died Sunday, April 6 at Wingate at Sudbury Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Dzigas who died in 1986.
Born in Boston, daughter of the late Peter and Veronica (Kaselinte) Simas, she was employed as a weaver for the former Thomas Taylor Co. in Hudson. Mrs. Dzigas enjoyed ice fishing on Fort Meadow in Marlboro.
She is survived by her son Joseph P. Dzigas and his wife Gloria of Marlboro; 2 grandchildren, Julie Osetek of Southboro and Jay Dzigas of Boston. She is also survived by her 3 great grandchildren, Alex, Zach and Luke Osetek.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 10, at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St. Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 9 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson.
