Veronica P. (Piecewicz) Hickey, 93, of Rockland, formerly of Hudson, died on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the Coyne Healthcare Center in Rockland. She was the beloved wife of Francis A. Hickey who died in 1989.
She was born in Maynard, daughter of the late Joseph and Antonina (Polupietka) Piecewicz and was a graduate of Maynard H.S. She resided in Hudson most of her life where she raised her family and resided in Rockland the past 22 years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Nina Makarski and husband Joseph of Rockland and Patricia Young and husband Paul of Wolfeboro, NH. She also leaves 5 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joseph, John and Francis Piecewicz.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Bridget's Cemetery, Maynard. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749 prior to the mass.
