Victor Manuel Cavaco, 73, of Hudson, Ma, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Marlborough Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his beloved wife of 48 years, Aura M. (Botelho) Cavaco.
Victor was born on January 14, 1946, in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, a son of the late Lino and Almerinda (Ponte) Cavaco. He was raised in Sao Miguel, where he finished school and met the love of his life Aura M. (Botelho) Cavaco. Together they immigrated to Hudson, where they married and Victor soon began a long and successful career at Hudson Lock, eventually retiring as a Manufacturing Manager after 35 years of dedicated hard work. Victor was well known and loved in Hudson, he was a caring and outgoing person.
Victor was a people person, who took the time to get to know those around him and learn everyone’s name. He was a talented cook and he enjoyed watching the local sports teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. Above all else he loved his family and was a great role model to his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his beloved wife Aura M. (Botelho) Cavaco, he was also survived by his 4 children, Victor M. Cavaco, Jr. of Hudson, Jeffrey L. Cavaco and his wife Diane of Boylston, Christopher M. Cavaco and his companion Holly Varrichione of Clinton and Margarett M. Fagone and her husband David of Clinton; his siblings, Zenaide Ferreira of Canada, Lino Cavaco of Florida and Cidalia Cavaco of Hudson; 8 grandchildren, Quinn Cavaco, Samantha Cavaco, Kalvin Cavaco, Matthew Cavaco, Joseph Cavaco, Cody Cavaco, Davis Fagone and Lily Fagone; 2 great- grandchildren, Ella Korman and Olivia Korman and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Lourdes Provencher and Maria de Fatima Andrade.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours from 4 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 am on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St. Hudson, MA; followed by a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery for Committal Services.
