Victor G. Cormier of Hudson, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday November 6 2021 due to complications from Covid.
Victor was born in Cyr Plantation, ME on July 28, 1933 to Come and Azilda (Lajoie) Cormier. Vic was one of sixteen children to grow up on the family farm.
Victor over the years had many names – Vic, Dad, Grampy, Brother, Uncle, Frenchie, Frenchman, WeeWee, Good Buddy, Friend, and Turtle Man.
Vic was a proud U.S.Army veteran who served our country during the Korean War.
Vic was a carpenter by trade working in both commercial and residential projects. One job that he loved was the 18 years he spent traveling the East Coast remodeling Zayre Department stores.
Vic was an outdoorsman - Enjoying his hunting trips to Allagash, ME with his hunting buddies from Riverside Gun Club, fishing for striped bass at Nauset Beach on Cape Cod, hiking areas near his camp in Piermont NH, pick wild blueberries, fishing for trout in the NH White Mountains and over the past 10 winters fishing for sheepshead on the piers of Anna Maria Island. FL.
Vic is survived by his loving wife Dianne Aucoin of Hudson MA. Dianne was also Vic’s fishing partner. On most fishing outings there was a wager who would have the first fish, the most fish and the biggest fish. Vic is also survived by his daughter Cindy (Thomas) Roche of Costa Mesa CA, granddaughter Caitlin Roche of Costa Mesa, CA, granddaughter Julie Roche of Scottsdale AZ, sister Lucille Bourgoin of Enfield, CT plus many loving nieces and nephews.
Per Vic’s request there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michaels Church, Hudson, MA at 11:00 AM on November 18, 2021.
