Victor A. Hoyt Jr., 79, of Hudson, died Thursday, July 28th at the Leonard Morse Kindred Care Unit in Natick. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Ann (Shovelier) Hoyt of Hudson.
Born and raised in Cambridge, son of the late Victor A. Hoyt Sr. and Florence (Sherman) Hoyt. Victor attended local schools and was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He resided in Cambridge and later Westwood before residing in Hudson for the past 49 years.
Victor worked for many years as a mechanic for the UPS Company until his retirement. He was a member and past President of the Hudson Eagle's, member of the Marlboro Moose Lodge, member of the Masonic Lodge both in Hudson then Marlboro and was a former member of the Hudson Police Auxiliary.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his six children, Ann Mae Yorston of Virginia, Vicki Lee Sullivan of Marlboro, Debora Pelletier and her husband Ray, Victor "Ken" Hoyt, Kimberly Hoyt and Elizabeth Catherine Hoyt, all of Hudson. He is also survived by his two brothers, Norman Hoyt of Foxboro, Kenneth Hoyt of Bellingham; his 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Barbara Rorrier.
