Viola R. (Renaud) Loureiro-Champney, 87, of Hudson, died Sunday, December 20th at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. Born in Marlborough, daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Whelan) Renaud, she lived in Hudson most of her life and was educated in the Hudson Saint Michael's School system. She enjoyed sewing, reading magazines and was an avid bingo player.
She leaves her children: Diane M. Brown and her husband Warren of Berlin, Donna L. DiPersio and her husband Thomas of South Yarmouth, Steven M. Loureiro and his wife Jane of Leominster and Michael P. Baker of Marlboro. She was the mother of the late Manuel P. Loureiro Jr. of Rhode Island, John P. Loureiro of Hudson and David P. Loureiro of California.
She also leaves her twelve grandchildren: Warren Brown Jr., Anthony D. Loureiro, Tina M. Flannery, Thomas J. Loureiro, Thomas DiPersio, Jr. Deena Gramstorff, Rick DiPersio, John Greaves, Dawnelle Arno, Caitlin Loureiro, Kristen Loureiro and Janna Wasel; 23 Great Grandchildren and six brothers and sisters: Gerald Renaud and his wife Mary of Milford, Theresa Zina and her husband Farley of Templeton, Beatrice Cyrus of Charlotte, NC, Bernadette Buis of Anaheim, CA, Gordon Renaud of Dennisport and Sheila Connington of Anaheim, CA. She was the sister of the late Patricia Dyer, Lucille Jablonski, Margaret Locklear, Mary Ramalho, Henry Renaud and Roger Renaud.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd, at 10:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Viola may be made to the charity of one's choice.
