Boxborough, MA Violet E. (Krois) Thomas, 85, of Boxborough, formerly of Wilmington, Lunenburg and Concord, died on Tuesday, April 5th at Marlboro Hills Healthcare Center. She was the former wife of the late Louie M. Thomas.
Born in Elk River, Minnesota, daughter of the late John J. and Margaret B. (Hollander) Krois, Violet moved to the area from Minnesota in 1956, residing in Wilmington, Lunenburg and Concord before settling in Boxborough. She also resided in Washington D.C. where she worked as an Ordained Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1985 and 1986. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Littleton. Violet enjoyed researching her family's genealogy in her spare time.
She is survived by her son, Louie D. Thomas of Hudson and daughter, Jacqueline Van De Nest of Raynham. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Krois of Minnesota and her step-grandchild and step-great grandchild, Eric Williams and his daughter Ella.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 616 Great Road, Littleton, MA 01460. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749
