Virginia A. (Wilson) Azablar, 73, of Hudson, formerly of Lexington, died Tuesday, April 29 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Residence in Wayland.
Born in Urbana, IL, daughter of the late Clarence and Laura (Talbert) Wilson, Mrs. Azablar resided in Lexington for 50 years before moving to Hudson in 2004. She was a former secretary at the Diamond Middle School in Lexington for 25 years retiring in 2003. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hudson.
She is survived by her children, Julie Orsatti and husband Joseph of Hudson, Emilie Carter and husband Greg of Amherst, NH and Mark Dawson and wife Doreen of Watertown. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Sommer of Oxford, OH; 9 grandchildren, Louis and Thomas Orsatti of Hudson, Benjamin, Travis, Lauren and Theresa Mazerall of Amherst, NH, Jack Carter of Groton, Maggie and Patrick Dawson of Watertown and several nieces and nephews. She was the former wife of Stuart Dawson of Maine.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Pastor Doug Robinson Johnson celebrating, 34 Felton Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held Friday, May 2 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson.
