Virginia M. (Leketa) Chimelski, 80, of Hudson, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester, MA.
She leaves her husband of 59 years Joseph Chimelski of Hudson.
Born in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Konstatin and Anna (Simokonis) Leketa.
She attended the Millbury St. School and graduated from the David Hale Fanning Trade School as a power operator. She worked as a stitcher in the Worcester area and later as a salesperson for Zayres of Marlboro. She also was employed by the Hudson School Dept. in the cafeteria until her retirement. She enjoyed bingo, sewing and crafts as hobbies.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her 2 sons; Stephen Chimelski and his wife Kathleen of Nashua, NH and Scott Chimelski and his wife Dayna of Corpus Christi, TX. She also leaves her brother; Anthony Leketa of Auburn, her sister; Rita Lynch of West Boylston, her 6 grandchildren; Rebecca, Jennifer, Stephen Jr., Joseph, Erica and Laura Chimelski, along with several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Sandra Ann Chimelski who died in 2000 and sister of the late Anne Stone and Joseph Leketa.
Her funeral will be held from the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc, (www.tighehamilton.com) 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749 Saturday, July 7, 2007 with a funeral mass at 11:00 am in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning Street Hudson, MA. Calling hours will be held Friday, July 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester, MA.
