Virginia M. (Rogers) Clouatre, 85, of Hudson, formerly of Marlboro, died on Wednesday, Jan. 7th at Marlboro Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Clouatre who died in 1994.
Virginia was born and raised in Orange, daughter of the late Roland and Lillian (Merron) Rogers. She worked as a waitress for the Harrison Conference Service in Marlboro for many years until her retirement. She resided in Marlboro for 40 years before settling in Hudson where she has spent the past 17 years. She was a member of the Hudson Senior Center; Hudson Historical Society; former Hudson Woman's Club and former local Red Hat Society. She was a former Scout Leader for many years in Marlboro and was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Virginia enjoyed traveling and taking frequent bus trips with friends. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her granddaughter and later her two great grandsons. She looked forward to vacationing with family and friends whenever she could and in her spare time she enjoyed reading. She was an avid NASCAR fan.
Virginia leaves her two daughters, Virginia Decker and her husband Craig of Florida and Patricia Clouatre of Hudson. She also leaves her loving granddaughter, Holly Senecal and two great grandsons, Jacob and Ronald Senecal, all of Bradford, VT. She was the sister of the late Ralph, Henry and Kenneth Rogers and Dorothy Clouatre.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 14th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Marlboro.
