Hudson, MA
Virginia "Butch" (Fish) White, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Manomet, MA on Saturday night, with her loving family at her side. Born October 24, 1924, she lived in Hudson until her move to Manomet to be near her daughter's family in 1997. She was the widow of Donald White, sister of the late Hazel Longhi and George Fish. Virginia is survived by her son Dan and his wife Joyce of Tempe, AZ; daughter Pam and her husband Mike Almada of Manomet, MA; four grandchildren: Ben and Elizabeth Almada both of Manomet, Katie Knott of San Antonio, TX; Ethan and his wife Jennifer Almada of Kingston, MA. Her great grandchildren Ella and Colton Almada of Kingston, added great joy to her last years. The gentle sense of humor and fiery, spirited, good nature that were her hallmarks brought warmth and laughter to her extended family, and her easy welcome, self effacing presence and acceptance of all will be greatly missed.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Aug. 29th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
