Warren L. Gledhill, 78, of Marlboro, passed away suddenly on Sept. 6th after complications of a long illness.
He was born in Waltham on Oct. 19, 1932. Warren attended Waltham Trade School and simultaneously joined the Massachusetts National Guard. He later decided to serve his country and joined the U.S. Navy in 1952.
He was married to his wife Nancy E. Brown for 57 years. They moved to Houston, Texas in 1975 where they lived for 26 years until his retirement as a supervisor for Metrix Industries in Houston. In 2001, they purchased their first motor home and carried out their lifelong dream of traveling the United States. In 2010 they returned to Massachusetts to be with family.
Warren is survived by his wife Nancy and his five children, John Gledhill of Hampton, NH, Rick Gledhill and his wife Jody of Marlboro, Barbara Palatino and her husband Richard of Houston, TX, Brenda Hurt and her husband Mike of League City, TX and Cindy Benoit of Woonsockett, RI. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Friday, Sept. 9th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a funeral service at 9:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson will be held later at the convenience of the family.
