Wayne A, Ruby, 50, a long time resident of Hudson, MA died on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at UMASS Memorial, Leominster Hospital, surround by his family, after a long period of declining health.
Wayne was born in Marlborough, MA, son of the late John E. Ruby Sr. and the late Kathleen A. (Coggins) Ruby. He was raised in Marlborough attending local schools. Shortly after high school Wayne moved to Hudson where he spent the past 30 plus years. He spent time working locally as a landscaper for several companies.
Wayne is survived by his brother, Kevin Ruby and his girlfriend Debra Amell of Hudson, MA; his 3 sisters, Roseanna Stevens and husband Daniel of Augusta, ME, Dawn Nogueira and husband Antonio of Hudson, MA and Janet Minardi and partner John Sousa of Ellerbe, NC. He was predeceased by his brother John E. Ruby Jr. He is also survived by his niece and nephews, Crystal Farmer, her husband Anthony and their son Jack of Gardiner, ME, John E. Ruby, III and his wife Brittany of Marlborough, MA, Steven Ruby of Ellerbe, NC and Brian Minardi of Ellerbe, NC, along with many other relatives and friends.
Wayne lived a short life but he always found a way to make it exciting. He enjoyed fresh water fishing at local spots throughout his life. He always looked forward to all the events of professional wrestling on television or attending matches at local venues. He was a fan of the Washington (former Redskins) Football Team – Commanders. His passion in life was being around his family, especially later with all his nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered for his love and kindness by all who loved and knew him.
Family and friends will gather to remember Wayne and celebrate his life on Saturday, March 5, 2022 with visiting hours from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749, followed by a brief Life Celebration Service at 4:00 pm. Burial services will be private.
