Hudson, MA
Weedon G. Parris Jr. 75, of Hudson, MA, formally of Medford died Thursday, March 29, 2007, at U-Mass Health System, Marlborough Hospital.
He was the husband of Joan L. (Morris) Parris of Hudson, MA.
Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of Mildred (Taylor) Parris of Arlington and the late Weedon G. Parris Sr. and had been a Hudson resident for the past 37 years.
He was a graduate of Rindge Technical High School in Cambridge and Northeastern University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi.
Employed as a civil engineer, he worked with the Federal Aviation Administration, where he was an airport planner. He also worked for Stone and Webster Engineering in Boston where he planned bridge and highway construction.
He was a member of the Hudson Finance Committee, Hudson Light and Power board and was a page at the Hudson Public Library.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves his children, Susan Parris Ray and her husband Stephen Ray of Philadelphia, PA, Wendy Joan Parris McCain and her husband Derrick McCain of Bowie, MD, Laura M. Parris Mauceri and her husband Joseph B. Mauceri of Reston, VA; a brother Arthur Parris and his wife Lynn of Arlington; and his grandchildren, Kiara Ray, Alex, Taylor, and Joseph Mauceri, Olivia, Rachel and Charles McCain.
A funeral will be held Wednesday April 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Marlborough, 52 Church Street, Marlborough, MA with Pastor Linda Stetter officiating. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
Visiting Hours are Tuesday, April 3, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe- Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson.
