Hudson/Ayer, MA
William M. Hamilton, 74, of Hudson and Ayer, died on Monday July 27th at Marlboro Hills Healthcare Center. He was the son of the late Doris (Brissette) Hamilton.
Born in Marlboro, William resided in Hudson most of his life and had resided in Ayer for the past 23 years. He was employed by the Ayer School Dept. as a custodian for many years until retiring in 2001. He was a former Hudson Call Firefighter and also worked as a truck driver for the former Hudson Batting Co. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren at the many gatherings held yearly.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelley Lorrain and her husband Phil of Marlboro; his two sons, William Hamilton and his wife Mary and Kieth Hamilton, all of Hudson. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas M. Hamilton of Hudson; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Baker, Philip and Katie Lorrain and Nicholas and Ryan Hamilton. He was pre-deceased by his brother Richard Hamilton.
A funeral service will be held on Friday July 31st at 10:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Thursday July 30th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
